Our Approach

Engage, Express, Empower

Individualized Treatment

The best results come from individualized treatment that doesn't feel like work. Using a play and routine-based, family-centered approach, we offer simple solutions for long-term success.

Family-Centered

We tailor treatment plans to fit each family's daily life. The best results occur in the family's natural environment with parental involvement — we specialize in at-home therapy that creates a fun, functional atmosphere.

Empowering Families

With re-evaluations every six months and an adaptive training mindset, we work closely with all clients until they reach their full potential. Our families feel more interconnected and confident, empowering them to fully take on the world.

Baby and Toddler Enrichment Classes

KIDnection's unique classes utilize play, language, music, and sensory/art activities to stimulate and support all areas of development. Caregivers feel empowered to support their baby's learning using the time and resources already available to them. All classes incorporate opportunities for caregivers to share and connect with each other too. Classes are led by Carly Dorfman and a team of experts in the field, including licensed pediatric speech-language pathologists, art instructors, music teachers, dance instructors, sports coaches, and early childhood educators — all moms and parent educators specializing in babies and toddlers.

Allison Berger, M.S., CCC-SLP

Hi! I'm Allison and I am excited to get to know you and your family.

I am a licensed, certified, and credentialed pediatric speech-language pathologist with over 10 years of experience treating children with a variety of developmental levels. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Speech and Hearing from SUNY Cortland and my Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.

I have worked in the preschool setting most of my career and specialize in working with children with autism. My experience comes from working at the Baudhuin Preschool where I worked to improve receptive and expressive language, pragmatic/social skills and speech. I have an extensive background facilitating language with the use of incorporating a variety of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies.

I believe parent training and building communication skills naturally during play and routines are important to incorporate during therapy sessions.

I live in Parkland, FL with my husband and two children. I enjoy baking, running, and spending time with my family.

Emily Kay, M.S., CCC-SLP

Hi, I'm Emily and I'm so happy to meet you!

I am a licensed, certified, and credentialed speech/language pathologist, with 13 years of experience working with children of all ages and developmental levels. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Central Florida and my Masters of Science in Speech/Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.

I have facilitated communication development for children in private practices and in school settings. I also work closely with caregivers, teachers, and other related service providers in order to increase their confidence in supporting their child's communication skills. I help children to improve their articulation, fluency, receptive and expressive language, and pragmatic communication through play-based therapy. My experience also includes the implementation of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.

I live in Cooper City with my baby. We both like to read, dance, and travel.
